Felix von Bothmer, the son of Count Maximillian von Bothmer, at one time quartermaster general of the German army was born at Munich, December 10th, 1852. He entered the german infantry as a lieutenant in 1871 and became a general in 1910. He became prominent during the Great War as commander of the Prussian corps which opposed with some success Brusiloff's offensive in Galicia in 1916. Previously he had been in the Carpathians and in Galicia in 1915. He was reported shot by communists in Munich, April, 1919.
