Personal Information:

Karl Hetz was born on 11 May 1910 and was a serving member of the Kriegsmarine during World War II and managed to attain the rank of Korvettenkapitän and went on to command the following Z34.

Karl Hetz joined Reichsmarine as a Seekadett on 1929 and went to the naval school in Mürwik and continued his training on board destroyers. Karl Hetz was first officer on the destroyer Paul Jacobi until he took command of the destroyer Z34 he maintained his position until the end of war.

After the Second World War Karl Hetz joined Bundesmarine and managed to reach the rank of Vizeadmiral.
