Walter Riedel was a German engineer during World War II, and participated in the Aggregate 4 (A-4) V-2 rocket program.

In 1931 Walter Riedel started his career by working for Heylandt Werke. In January 1934 Wernher von Braun employed Walter Riedel to work at Kummersdorf secret research station, and later at the Army research Centre Peenemünde

On 14-15 March 1944 Walter Riedel, Wernher von Braun, Magnus von Braun, and Helmut Gröttrup were arrested and held at the Gestapo prison (Polizei Präsidium) in Stettin however they were later released.
