Personal Information:

Werner Ehrhardt was born on 25 May 1898 in Liebstädt and was a serving member of the Kriegsmarine during World War II and managed to attain the rank of Konteradmiral and went on to command the following Falke, Greif and Prinz Eugen

Werner Ehrhardt joined Kaiserliche Marine on 4 July 1916 and went to the naval school in Mürwik and continued his training on board SMS Freya, SMS Kronprinz, during this time, he was promoted to the rank of Leutnant zur See

After the First World War. Werner Ehrhardt was then transferred to the light cruiser Medusa and on 27 September 1928. He took his first command of the torpedo boat Falke which ended when he took command of the torpedo boat Greif on the 16th of February 1929. And finally Werner Ehrhardt was given command of the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen on the 28th of February 1943.
