Personal Information:

Klaus Scholtz was born on 22 March 1908 in Magdeburg, Germany and was a serving member of the Kriegsmarine during World War II and managed to attain the rank of Fregattenkapitän and went on to command the following G8, G11, Jaguar and U-108.

Klaus Scholtz joined Reichsmarine as a Seekadett on 1927 and went to the naval school and continued his training on board torpedo boats until he transferred to the U-boat arm.

Klaus Scholtz was given the command of the torpedo boat Jaguar on June 1937 and remained in command until April 1939 and which time he transferred to vet U-boat arm and after four months of training took command of the U-boat U-108 on 20 to October 1940 until 14 October 1942.
