Personal Information:

Victor Schütze was born on 16 February 1906 in Flensburg, Germany and was a serving member of the Kriegsmarine during World War II and managed to attain the rank of Kapitän zur See and went on to command the following Iltis, U-19, U-11, U-25 and U-103.

Victor Schütze joined Reichsmarine as a Seekadett in April 1925 and started his training on torpedo boats however in October 1935 he transferred to the newly formed U-boat on.

Victor Schütze was given the command of the torpedo boat Iltis on January 1928 and remained in command until February 1928 he then transferred to the U-boat arm and was given command of the U-boat U-19 on 16 January 1936 until 30 September 1937 he was then transferred to the U-boat U-11 on 13 August 1938 until for September 1939 he was then transferred again to the U-boat U-25 on 5 September 1939 until 19 May 1940 he was then transferred to the U-boat U-103 on 5 July 1940 until 12 August 1941.
